Stimulate the business spirit through awareness-raising campaigns, and actions aimed at supporting the creation, transfer or buyout of businesses.

Develop spin-offs for SMEs in middle-tier technology sectors

To stimulate and revive the economic fabric, the "Greater Lyon, a Business Spirit" partners make SMEs aware of new business opportunities, and accompany spin-off projects.

Increase support for business buyout and/or redeployment

Transferring or taking over businesses is always a delicate matter. That is why the "Greater Lyon, a Business Spirit" partners have enrolled in the PACEREL program, with a view to create a network of consultants (public accountants, notaries, sollicitors, lawyers, etc.) to offer information to companies planning to sell or buyout a business.

Maison de l'Entrepreneuriat (House of entrepreneurship)

The Lyon conurbation has positioned itself has an international area of excellence for entrepreneurship. To consolidate this status, the "Greater Lyon, a Business Spirit" partners took actions to implement a unique, innovative structure: the Maison des entrepreneurs (House of entrepreneurship). It opened in January 2004, in Ecully, and is already home to the EM Lyon entrepreneurs' center, a branch of Crealys, Novacité, the Vouloir Entreprendre association, and a business incubator.

Coordinate the PACEREL project

This action program aims to boost the creation and buyout of businesses in the Lyon conurbation. It includes 18 partners, and is supported by the European Union. Launched in July 2002, it is set to run until June 2005.
