With the aim of promoting research and development of health products, it will welcome new or existing starts-ups, and the companies' R&D units, in scientific and clinical collaboration with the Pôle Santé Rockefeller (health hub).

The program includes the integration of high value added partners and services providers that are useful to these activities, as well as technology platforms (biological resource center, sequencing center, etc.).

The Laënnec business incubator, set up on the site instigated by Greater Lyon, opened its doors to start-ups in February 2004.
