The Lyon-Gerland Technopôle science park (healthcare sector)

A science park in the heart of the city

As France’s pioneering centre in the field of vaccines and diagnostics, the Technopôle science park in Lyon’s Gerland district forms the epicentre of the Lyon Biopôle biotechnology competitiveness cluster: a high-quality environment that is home to leading biotechnology companies, as well as both public and private research laboratories.

 



Completed projects and new development opportunities



The Cité Scolaire Internationale (international school complex) in 1992.
The Agence de l’Eau Rhône-Méditerranée-Corse (regional water agency) in 1996.
The international headquarters of Sanofi Pasteur in 2000 and 2005.
The Quatuor Gerland buildings, housing a total of 24,000 sqm of office space, 12,000 sqm of which is still available.
The ZAC Bon Lait mixed development zone will offer 25,000 sqm of net floor space for businesses in the service sector.
The Solaris project developed by Bouygues Construction will be completed in early 2008, and will be complemented by a project from the Filying company offering 4,000 sqm of net floor space.
Tertiary-sector projects at the north of the Technopôle, developed by Nexity and the Meunier group, offer capacities of 4,000 sqm and 7,000 sqm (net floor space) respectively, and are currently being marketed.
The future Jean Macé railway station.
The launch of a joint project for 25,000 sqm of net floor space by ICADE and COGEDIM.

Worldwide leaders in the biotechnology sector: Sanofi Pasteur, Sanofi Pasteur MSD, Aguettant, MERIAL, Laboratoire Marcel Mérieux, Gambro, Genzyme, etc.
SMEs and start-ups: Arrow Génériques, Coletica, Covalab, Diffchamb, Episkin, Genoway, Synbiotics, Aptanomics, Lemnagène, Varioptic, etc.
Non-governmental organisations and professionals: WHO (Communicable Disease Surveillance and Response Office), AFSSAPS, Établissement Français du Sang, etc.
