This desire to work together to promote and develop Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport led, after a few months, to the creation, on November 6, 2003, of the "Entrepreneurs Club for Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport" (Club des Entrepreneurs pour l'aéroport Lyon-Saint-Exupéry), an "1901 law"-type non-profit association, which includes many of the Lyon region's biggest companies.
This lobby group, supported by Greater Lyon, the CCIL and the Airport Management, undertakes all sorts of activities aimed at facilitating and enhancing the development of the Lyon-Saint-Exupéry airport, and promoting it in order to boost economic development in the conurbation, the Rhône-Alpes region and the Greater South-East region.
The Entrepreneurs Club now produces its own newsletter, which aims at "rallying all the economic forces from the region and beyond, to persuade public authorities and air and rail operators, to pursue the development of the airport."
