Covering a vast area, the Lyon Ouest technopole has three complementary and inter-related areas of activity:

This concentration of gray matter makes for thriving development: Ecole Centrale Lyon, CESI, EM LYON, Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Lyon, the textile center comprising ITECH (engineering school), the technical centers of IFTH (French textile and clothing institute) and the CTTN (technical center for dyeing and cleaning), etc.
