Lyon Vaise digital cluster

20 hectares for a new neighbourhood

The first phase of the project, completed in 2007, oriented the Digital Cluster towards catering for companies specialised in information, communication and digital leisure technologies. In the long term, the aim is for these economic activities to become integrated into the surrounding neighbourhood, which will see new housing and services built during the project’s second phase.

110,000 sqm of business space and 60,000 sqm of housing completed in two phases

In June 2007, construction began on the Docksite development (14,000 sqm net floor space), which will provide/offer new services for businesses: restaurants (4 brasseries), fitness centre, shops (bakery, local supermarket, etc.) and housing to be completed between 2007 and 2009.

Improved public transport, with two bus routes, means the site is now just a few minutes from Gare de Vaise station and Line D of the Metro (Vaise – Vieux Lyon – Bellecour – Vénissieux).

In January 2008, the 14-screen multiplex cinema will be opening for business, along with its 850-space car park, which will also act as overspill parking to meet the needs of companies in the area.

2 operational phases

The whole development extends over more than 20 ha in the 9th arrondissement (city district) of Lyon, situtated between Rue Émile Duport and Rue Joannès Carret.
