The Village des Créateurs

"We are ideally located on the slopes of the Croix-Rousse, in the old Canut district", Benoît de Valicourt, Director of the Village des Créateurs, comments. "To choose this place full of history to host a breeding ground of young designers, was very symbolic!".

The purpose is not only to offer a physical space for young designers, but to help them along so that they, too, know success. This area is also an exhibition area for fashion and design, open to international cultures.

Technical characteristics

In a space covering 900m², ten premises are available for rent. These workshops are complemented by the premises of the Resource Center, that include two offices, a meeting room, a computer room, and an exhibition hall.

The Villa Créatis

The Villa Créatis opened in June 2003 to fashion and design organizations and companies. Set up for and by the profession, with substantial support from the public sector, this building located in the Industrie district (in Vaise) aims to put innovative tools at the disposal of professionals (a forum space, an exhibition hall, etc.).

It is an area conducive to creativity, thanks to the services offered, and the various and complementary skills of the professionals present in this building. It will enhance the status of the profession by making it more familiar to external audiences (national and international) within a prestigious setting

Technical characteristics

The whole unit covers 8,000m² in the Industrie district; almost 2,650m² of useable surface area is built up.

This ambitious project required over 6.17 million euros of investment (1.02M€ provided by Greater Lyon).
