Summary

Covering an area of 470 hectares, the Chemistry Valley (Vallée de la Chimie) industrial area counts 7,200 jobs within 70 companies. Located at a main entry point to the conurbation, and a site with major environmental and economic issues, the Chemistry Valley has experienced major changes these past years, related to the developments in the chemical industry, and to the renewal of risk management and the relationship to environment.

Over M€2.7 have been budgeted for over the 2004-2007 period to complete the following operations:

 

Avenue Ramboz (central section): refurbishment
Avenue Ramboz (other sections): repair, and improvement of compliance to safety standards
Lône de Pierre-Bénite: participation in refurbishment
Louis Aulagne quay: refurbishment
Sauzai/Vernay junction: improvement of compliance to safety standards
Rue Louise Michel: refurbishment
Boulevard and Impasse Sampaix: refurbishment
Extension of Chemin de Saint-Gobain: study and road works
Rue Marcel Sembat junctions: improvement of compliance to safety standards
Acquisition of property National and Department roads: participation in repair projects
